But before I get to that, let’s talk about how to actually prepare for this day and some things you need to know before you go.

1. This Is Not a Sit-Back-and-Listen Type of Conference

Yes, there are incredible training sessions planned:

  • turning setbacks into superpowers

  • using AI as a strategic advantage

  • building real connections (not just surface-level networking)

  • defining success on your own terms

  • using wellness to support leadership and focus

However...

The real value of this conference doesn’t happen on stage.

It happens at your table, with the people you'll meet, and the impression you leave that might open up the door to your next great opportunity.

✔️ Don’t just sit—engage at your table

✔️ Don’t just listen—ask questions

✔️ Don’t just collect business cards—be memorable

✔️ Don’t just think about your pitch—say it out loud

2. Have Your Elevator Pitch Ready (Seriously)

I’ve been in media for 25 years, and I’ll tell you this straight:

Most women don’t miss opportunities because they’re not qualified.

They miss them because they can’t clearly explain what they offer or what they need.

(this is also why some interviews are cut short or never air)

So before you walk into that ballroom, get this down:

The 4 Ingredients of a Strong Elevator Pitch

1. Who are you? Name, title, business or organization.

2. What problem do you solve? Be clear. Not clever—clear.

3. What makes you different? This is where your confidence shows up.

4. What’s the next step? What do you want people to do after meeting you?

If you can say that in 60 seconds, you’re already ahead of most of the room.

On a recent episode of Elevating Enterprise podcast Mary Stone, Senior VP at M&T Bank delivered a flawless pitch.

3. What’s New This Year: On-Site Media Training

The Empowering Women Media Lounge Presented by JazzCast Pros

And no—it’s not just a podcast booth. This is a live media training experience.

I’ll be inviting attendees to step in and:

  • Practice their :60 pitch on camera

  • Share their story

  • Reflect on what they’re learning

  • Build confidence speaking to media

As the founder of JazzCast Pros, my mission is to remove the barriers that keep people from being heard and to position entrepreneurs as experts in their field through the power of podcasting. And right now, we are the only media platform in Rochester dedicated to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

So this isn’t just about recording content. This is me passing the mic.

Giving you a space to:

  • hear yourself

  • refine your message

  • and step into your voice

Select clips from the day's recording will be included in a special Women's History Month episode of High Vibe Table Talks and Elevating Enterprise podcast.

  1. Donation Drive

This year, Women Empowering Women is collecting items for Heritage Christian Services, a Chamber member nonprofit dedicated to fostering an inclusive community for all, including children and individuals with disabilities. Items needed include:

  • Non-perishable food items

  • Hygiene products

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Gift cards

You can drop your donation off right at registration.

Because empowerment isn’t just about what we gain. It’s also about how we give back.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Together, we’ll strengthen relationships, create new connections, and explore what success looks like moving forward. Be inspired by strategies to highlight your strengths, gain clarity on your next power move, and elevate your success in your career, personal life, and community.

Let’s embrace the idea that being an unapologetically exceptional woman is truly an "inside job."
