3 Steps to get your to-do list done!

Updated: Jun 13, 2023

Do you find yourself constantly trying to catch up on your to-do list, with no end in sight? You're not alone. In fact, a lot of business owners feel like they're stuck in a rut, trying to do everything themselves and not seeing the results they want.

Denise Ester is a creative consultant and productivity coach who was struggling to find a planner that fit her specific needs.

After lunch with a friend who had a great planner, Denise was inspired to create her own. She created the Inspire 365 Planner with the intention of it being a holistic tool for busy people. The planner includes habit tracking, goal setting, and monthly and weekly views.

What Denise learned from making her own planner is that it is important to find a method that works for you.

To achieve goal-oriented planning, productivity, and increased revenue, follow the steps that Denise Ester outlines on Getting Real with Bossy Podcast Episode #5

These steps include being goal-oriented in your planning, being productive in your work, and being intentional about what you put in your planner.

"You have to be okay with bettering yourself, bettering your business, bettering your situation, and starting brand new if you have to, like, you have to be all in on your transition." - Denise Ester

By following these steps, you will be more likely to achieve your goals and feel more motivated along the way.

1. Be goal-oriented in your planning

2. Be productive in your work

3. Increase your revenue by being organized

1. Be goal-oriented in your planning

When it comes to planning, it is important to be goal-oriented. This means that you should have a clear idea of what you want to achieve and identify specific steps that will help you get there. By taking the time to do this, you will be more likely to achieve your goals and feel more motivated along the way. One way to be goal-oriented in your planning is to use a planner that has specific features that will help you stay on track. For example, the Inspire 365 Planner has a habit tracker, goal setting pages, and monthly and weekly views to help you stay organized and focused on your goals.

By using a planner that is designed to help you achieve your goals, you will be more likely to actually reach them. Another tip for being goal-oriented in your planning is to schedule time each week to review your progress and make any necessary adjustments. This will help you stay on track and make sure that you are still on track to reach your goals. By taking the time to review your progress, you will be more likely to stay motivated and achieve your goals.

It is also important to be realistic when setting goals. This means that you should not set goals that are impossible to achieve. Doing so will only lead to frustration and disappointment. Instead, set goals that are challenging but still achievable. This will help you stay motivated and focused on your goals. Finally, remember to celebrate your accomplishments along the way. This will help you stay motivated and keep your eye on the prize. By taking the time to celebrate your accomplishments, you will be more likely to achieve your ultimate goal.

2. Be productive in your work

When it comes to being productive in your work, it is important to have a clear and concise plan. This means taking the time to sit down and map out what tasks need to be completed and in what order. This can be done with a physical planner or via a digital app or software. Once you have a plan in place, it is important to stick to it as much as possible. This means setting aside dedicated time to work on tasks and avoiding distractions. If you find yourself getting off track, take a few minutes to regroup and refocus on your goals.

It is also important to make time for yourself. This means taking breaks when you need them, and scheduling time for activities that you enjoy outside of work. This can help to prevent burnout and keep you feeling refreshed and motivated. Additionally, making time for yourself can help to reduce stress and promote overall wellbeing.

Be flexible While it is important to have a plan and to be productive in your work, it is also important to be flexible. This means being willing to adjust your plan as needed and being open to new ideas and approaches. Being flexible can help to make your work more enjoyable and efficient and can also help you to better adapt to changes.

3. Increase your revenue by being organized

The third step is to be intentional about what you put in your planner. This means that you should be goal oriented and think about what you need in order to be successful. You should also be mindful of the different aspects of your life that you want to track and plan for. Lastly, you should consider who your audience is and what they need in order to be successful.

Once you have your goals in mind, it's time to start planning how to achieve them. This means breaking down your goals into smaller, more manageable pieces. For example, if your goal is to increase your revenue by 10%, you'll need to figure out what you can do to make that happen. This might mean creating a marketing plan, developing a new product, or finding new ways to reach your target audience. Once you have a plan in place, it's important to stick to it. This means setting aside time each week to work on your goals and making sure that you're making progress. It can be helpful to set up a system to track your progress, so that you can see how you're doing and make adjustments as needed. By being organized and goal-oriented, you can increase your revenue and reach your goals. With a little planning and effort, you can make big changes in your business.
